German Fashion Association Supports Texprocess
(From Frankfurt, Germany .....)
The German Fashion Association supports Texprocess, Leading International Trade Fair for Processing Textile and Flexible Materials, in Frankfurt am Main from 24 to 27 May 2011. In this connection, Detlef Braun, member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt, says, "The German Fashion Association is an important partner for the visitor side and we are delighted that, from now on, the association will play an active role in shaping the concept of the fair as a member of the Texprocess Advisory Council." German Fashion (www.germanfashion.net) represents the interest of around 300 companies from the German fashion industry. According to Thomas Rasch, General Manager of the Association, "As the representative of the German fashion industry, we see the future Texprocess as an outstanding and highly-promising opportunity to gather detailed information about innovations along all parts of the garment and textile processing chain, i.e., from the design stage to the finished article of clothing hanging in the shop. Conclusive for the German Fashion Association is the expertise of Messe Frankfurt in the textile sector and this is reflected completely by the concept of Texprocess."
At Texprocess 2011, around 500 exhibitors occupying around 50,000 square metres of exhibition space will present the latest machines, plant, processes and services for the garment and textile manufacturing industries. The range of products and services to be seen covers all processing stages of the value chain, i.e., from design and cutting, via sewing, knitting and embroidery to textile processing and finishing, textile logistics and IT.
A special highlight for the garment-manufacturing industry will be a sourcing platform that is open throughout the fair. Relevant contract manufacturers from all over the world will present their technical capacities and expertise. Explaining, Thomas Rasch says, "This will enable fashion companies to gain an overview of contract manufacturing facilities from all over the world ━ this is simply very effective and will enable them to save time and money."
Other visitors to Texprocess will come from the textile, upholstery, furniture and packaging industry, as well as from the automobile and aerospace sectors. The visitor profile of Texprocess will be rounded off by representatives of the handicrafts, service, science and training sectors.
