A Supply Chain Is Called for
The Japanese economy which seemed to recover gradually after the "Lehman Shock" in September, 2008 was made to be in difficulty again by "Great East Japan Earthquake" generated in March, this year.
Furthermore, the serious problem which the present Japanese economy has a strong yen located in the historical level of 76 yen of the value for the U.S. dollar (as of September 2011).
When comparing with the money order level to which was transited around 100 - 120 yen before Lehman Shock, it is really rise of about 25 - 35%.
Now, European and U.S. currency is disliked for reasons of the uneasiness to the world economy centering on the West.
Therefore, the motion which buys the Japanese yen made comparatively safe in a current account surplus country progressed at a stretch. Simultaneously, a strong yen advanced further for dollar or for Euro, and the Japanese export-related company is affected by again serious influence.
Now, about 33,000 export-related companies are located in Japan. About 20,000 companies which amount to 60% of them are small and medium-sized enterprises of the year-turnover of 1-billion yen or less. Although these companies are forced painful management from before, further, it is put in an embarrassing situation by attack of strong yen.
And although the major company can advance the measure against a strong yen to some extent, but, small and medium-sized enterprises can not be correspond against a strong yen easily.
It can be said that this situation is beyond the limit which one company can conquer by company efforts to small and medium-sized enterprises.
