2009 FISMA TOKYO Held at Tokyo Big Site in Tokyo

Total 69 Companies Participated from Whole Japan

2009 FISMA TOKYO - Fashion Industry System Machine & Attachment Exhibition (Organizers: Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Tokyo Sewing Machine Commerce Cooperative) was held for two days from 2nd to 3rd December 2009 at Tokyo Big Site in Tokyo.
Total 69 companies of Japanese leading industrial and household sewing machine, relative equipments, and materials were exhibited.
As for FISMA TOKYO, since the first time was held in 1959, the exhibition was with history to count 48 times already. But, that holding scale is reduced year by year.
JIAM (Japan International Apparel Machinery Trade Show) which is held once in 3 years is the exhibition of the maximum scale as a Japanese domestic exhibition by JASMA (Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association).
JASMA which is composed of the related sewing equipments manufacturers held JIAM in 2008 in the foreign countries (Singapore) for the first time. But, next JIAM will be held in Osaka Japan in 2012, having interval of 4 years due to the change in the situation.
With hollowing out of the sewing industry in Japan, the domestic exhibition which held every year became only 4 exhibition, including Osaka Sewing Machine Show which is being held in Osaka every year in January or February.
There is a Japanese sewing related equipments in the highest level of the world at present because it was proceeding with the development with listening to the opinion of the severe Japanese domestic customers. A domestic exhibition has an important role even to that meaning.
As recent tendency, several companies of sewing machine manufacturers gathered freely, and holding of a joint exhibition is increased. Many users gathered in the joint exhibition, and it is proved that there are needed to introduce a machine equipments from an opinion exchange’s being done as for domestic.
