Export Statistics of Japanese Industrial and
Household Sewing Machne Parts in Jan. - Jun. 2010

The First place of Industrial Parts is China, And Household Parts Was Taiwan

Aactual results of export for household and industrial sewing machine parts in January ~ June 2010 have been announced by JASMA.
• Household Sewing Machine Parts
The Japanese household sewing machine parts which exported to all over the world in January ~ June 2010 recorded 544.0 million yen, showing increase of 46.1% compared with the previous year.
The first was Taiwan, and it was recorded 193.8 million yen, showing drastic increase of 117.7% compared with the previous year. The production of the sewing machine in Taiwan decreased year by year, because, the production of sewing machine for Zeng Hsing and Sunbeen which is proper leading manufacturer in Taiwan have already been changed their production foothold from Taiwan to China and Vietnam. As a result of this, the production volume in Taiwan has decreased year by year. When seeing results, it is thought that the production of other manufacturers has increased.
The second was China, and it was recorded 149.5 million yen, showing also drastic increase of 55.4% compared with the preceding year.
The factory of Brother, Janome, Jaguar, Sunbeen, Zeng Hsing, Chin Crown have already advanced from Japan and Taiwan to China. Recently most of parts are being procured at Chinese parts manufacturer, because price is cheap.
In addition to this, as Chinese manufacturer, Feiyue and other middle class sewing machine makers have been producing computer sewing machine at present. Even these manufacturers, they does not use Japan-made parts already.
The third was U.S.A., and it was recorded 70.9 million yen, showing increase of 37.1% compared with last year.
