The First Place of Export of Industrial Sewing Machine
Parts in 2010 Was China

The Total Amount of Industrial Use Parts was 14,380 Million Yen Increasing of 103.7%, And Household Use Parts was 1,079 Million Yen, Increasing of 32.0% Compared with the Previous Year

The actual results of ex-port for household and industrial sewing machine parts in 2010 have recently been announced by JASMA.
• Household Sewing Machine Parts
The Japanese parts for household sewing machine which was exported to all over the world in 2010 recorded 1,079 million yen, increasing 32.0% compared with the previous year.
The first place was Taiwan, and it recorded 434.0 million yen showing drastic increase of 105.7% compared with the preceding year.
Presently, the assembling in Taiwan is Janome, Zeng Hsing, Sunbeen and small scale manufactureres, and the production of sewing machine in Taiwan is decreased year by year until 2009. It is considered to have influenced the increase of parts import that the production quantity of the domestic sewing machine of Taiwan in 2010 increased sharply.
The scond place was China, and it recorded 295.6 million yen, showing increase of 23.1% compared with the preceding year.
The leading Chinese proper household sewing machine manufacturer in China is Feiyue and other small scale manufactureres. However, Japanese Brother and Jaguar has advanced since long times ago, and three companies of Zeng Hsing and Sunbeen and Chin Crown has already advanced from Taiwan respectively.
Though the beginning supplied parts from Japan and Taiwan to each companies, the manufacturer became using many China-made parts to keep the lower production cost year by year. However, the import of parts from Japan in 2010 increased.
The third place was U.S.A., and it recorded 109.6 million yen, showing increase of 13.6% compared with the preceding year.
As for the sales of household sewing machine in U.S., it is undergoing a change smoothly in the past several years.
